In the next few weeks im going to be bound for London Town to represent my University in the New designers Exhibition that held once a year where all the best new British University students come and show case their work. (http://www.newdesigners.com)
I'll be heading down for the second week of the exhibition, which will be 6th to the 9th of July.
8 people from my course as well as myself get access to a portfolio site, Arts Thread, for one year so we can show potential employers what were made of. As I'm now on the search for a job this is a oppertunity not to be missed!
http://www.artsthread.com/pv/danielrohde is the address for my new arts thread portfolio. check it out.
This is a personal blog of a professional 3D Artist from the moment I picked up a 3D program to present time. It contains my interests in games and my modelling practice, mixed in with things that I have found interesting over my time writing on it. I pride myself with being able to put myself into my writing so don't be too shocked if you see some of my own twists on making points here too.

Logo draft 1
So after a bit of working, tweaking and texture loving. Here is my draft one of my finished logo. Textures on the Helix needed to be altered to hide the seems running along the twisted cylinders. The tree at the start of the helix was built using speed tree modeller, and the fire effects were taken from the fire effect I had built for the UDK editor. All combined on one jumble of environmental love I think this has worked really well and communicates who I am as a prospectus games environmental artist, or just general modeller.

Working on my new logo for job hunting

Looks like a new logo is in order to sell myself as a environment designer/ games developer. Heres a few work in progress photo's for my new alias DNA Arts.
